OptiPoint Smart Valves – Pressure Independent

OptiPoint Smart Valves – Pressure Independent

Automated Logic OptiPoint pressure-independent smart valve featuring a motorized rotary actuator and brass valve body for precise HVAC flow regulation and WebCTRL building automation integration.

Automated Logic OptiPoint™ Smart Valves are designed to deliver precise, pressure-independent flow control for commercial HVAC applications. Combining a differential pressure regulator with a 2-way control valve, these smart valves maintain a specific flow rate for each degree of valve opening, regardless of system pressure fluctuations. This integrated design combines the functions of a balancing valve and a control valve in a single unit.

Designed for integration with the WebCTRL building automation system, OptiPoint Smart Valves use communicating rotary actuators controlled through the Act Net communications network. This allows compatible Automated Logic terminal unit controllers to position valves precisely, receive exact position feedback, and perform remote diagnostics without consuming physical controller inputs and outputs.

Available in 1/2-inch and 3/4-inch sizes, these valves offer multiple flow rate options and configurable fail-safe modes. Depending on the model, the actuator moves to an open or closed position, or maintains its last position, during a power failure. Field-adjustable flow settings can be configured locally or remotely through WebCTRL to meet system design requirements.

Featuring self-cleaning ball valve technology, high close-off capabilities, and a brushless DC motor, OptiPoint Smart Valves help minimize clogging, reduce energy losses, and improve operational reliability. Snap-fit connections simplify installation and retrofits, while an extended valve stem allows actuator removal without damaging surrounding pipe insulation.

Suitable for chilled water, hot water, and applications using up to 60% glycol, OptiPoint Smart Valves provide precise flow regulation, simplified commissioning, and enhanced building automation control.
