Automated Logic WebCTRL for Life Sciences

Automated Logic WebCTRL for Life Sciences

Automated Logic WebCTRL for Life Sciences is a building automation system designed to support the technical and procedural reporting requirements of FDA 21 CFR Part 11. It combines building management capabilities with security features and compliance-oriented reporting tools to help life sciences facilities manage building operations while supporting their regulatory and corporate security requirements.

Accessible through web-enabled devices on a secure intranet, WebCTRL for Life Sciences provides centralized monitoring and management of building systems. Security features include 256-bit encryption, BACnet whitelist firewall protection, audit logging, and support for BACnet Secure Connect (BACnet/SC).

The system includes preconfigured life sciences compliance reports for Mean Kinetic Temperature (MKT), critical trend values outside specified ranges, and trend values. Digital report signing allows authorized operators to sign reports as "Checked By" or "Approved By." Signing requires appropriate privileges, the operator's WebCTRL password, an electronic-signature password, and a comment. The operator's identity and comment are recorded in the audit log.

Additional capabilities include the Indoor Environmental Quality Index (IEQ), WebCTRL Time-lapse graphics for reviewing up to 24 hours of building operation, and integrated Fault Detection and Diagnostics (FDD) compliant with ASHRAE Guideline 36. Haystack-compatible semantic tagging automatically assigns standard reference names to equipment data, while IPv4 and IPv6 support helps accommodate different network environments.

WebCTRL for Life Sciences supports unlimited simultaneous users, hierarchical server configurations for large systems, and communication with field controllers through BACnet TCP/IP. Compatible add-ons extend functionality with single sign-on, scheduling, fault detection reporting, trend exports, weather information, demand response, MQTT connectivity, advanced alarming, advanced reporting, and advanced security.

WebCTRL for Life Sciences provides building automation, reporting, and security capabilities for facilities requiring support for FDA 21 CFR Part 11 compliance.
