The Automated Logic ZN551 is a fully programmable, native BACnet Advanced Application Controller designed to control a single zone within a building. It is well suited for variable air volume (VAV), heat pump, unit ventilator, fan coil, lighting, exhaust fan, and other packaged HVAC applications.
The controller communicates over an EIA-485 network using BACnet MS/TP and integrates with the WebCTRL building automation system. EIKON graphical programming software supports custom control sequences, while a library of standard programs accommodates common zoning applications.
The ZN551 supports up to 11 control points, consisting of five universal inputs, five digital outputs, and one analog output. Compatible Automated Logic sensors support setpoint adjustment and occupancy overrides, while touchscreen interfaces provide equipment management and troubleshooting capabilities. The controller also supports demand limiting, optimal start, remote firmware upgrades, and independent distributed control.
